after a lazy post-call afternoon of locanda verde brunch (more laters) and a visit to the tofu-man on mott st (more laters), i decided to drop by the amanda uprichard sale. last day. last 10 minutes.

all apparel $10.

2 tunics = $20 (w.a.S.!)

the organizers also told shoppers to grab some dresses from the box that was on the floor on our way out. okie, then, will do.

size 0 dress selection is thinned out... the leather leggings were apparently sold out the first day. there were a few nice sweaters and tops as well, but again, few size 0's. i wish i had gone on the first day to see the full selection... ugh. but was stuck in transit at the philly airport. which i now hate. what kind of airport takes 1 hr to de-ice a plane?!

i'm really feeling a lot of the spring 2010 apparel from hayden-harnett. and the welles hobo. they had some small welles hobos at their recent spring cleaning sale (samples, i think), which were also nice.

i had really high expectations for this place...but it ended up disappointing. it was o-k, and even bordering on meh. nothing special.

the sweet fries...like 3 pieces of toast sweetened and deep fried with sesame sauce on top. aye. we did not finish. :(

hayden-harnett spring cleaning sale, part deux

okie, so i was at the h-h sale last night where items were up to 80% off. all apparel was 70% off and outerwear was 80%. bags varied in price...spring preview items were not greatly discounted. tho, there was a damaged bin of items which were cheaper.

i ended up getting the kristy trench:

oh, fats. more talkie-talk about food.

xi'an famous foods newly opened location in manhattan. saving a trip out to flushing. the restaurant (i use loosely, as the space is about the size of my bathroom) is well hidden under the manhattan bridge.

savory cumin lamb burger $2.50

liang pi cold skin noodles $4.00

spicy & tingly beef hand-pulled noodles $5.00

chang-an spicy tofu $2.00

best of the bunch was the savory lamb burger. in for a close second was the spicy & tingly beef noodles. i wasn't too much of a fan of the cold noodles. in fact, i popped it in the microwave to make it hot. spicy tofu? well, it's still sitting in my fridge in a nearly full container. it's about ready to be thrown out. o_O
