weekend food round-up

it was a weekend of dining out... friday night at the rye house, saturday at the meatball shop and mole, sunday at al di la in bk.

and the single lonely pic i took for you was of the fried ricotta fritters from al di la. my apologies...

the breakdown...

the rye house's cocktails are worth mentioning. the rye house punch and the creole daiquiri were fabulous.

the meatball shop's ice cream sandwiches were a surprise winner. (as were the meatballs, of course). the homemade mint ice cream is not your typical store mint ice cream; there are real bits of mint in it :P

and what can i say about al di la? i now consider the best place for pasta to be in brooklyn, not manhattan.
