ah, yes. the food blog continues...
the first time i went to shake shack, i was a bit underwhelmed when tasting my shack burger and french fries. good, but not good.
my silly time warner cable remote broke, so i had to head to 23rd & madison to get a replacement, and decided to give the shack a second chance (since i was literally across the street from it).
this time, i made my choices more interesting and got the shack stack burger with cheese fries.
cheese fries are self-explanatory.
rather tastey.the shack stack burger is a combination of a cheeseburger with a 'shroom burger (crisp-fried portobello filled with melted muenster and cheddar cheese) stacked on top.
the pitiful bun just could not handle this burger. here's a true frontal shot so you can witness the ridiculous-ness for yourself.
this burger, my friends, is a cheese-y monstrosity. a rather tastey cheese-y monstrosity. here's to giving things a second chance.
too bad it wasn't monday, because i really wanted to try the pumpkin pie frozen custard. meh. next time.
