is it bad when the restaurant ambiance is better than the food? (not to say that the chicken was bad, it was o-k.) the spicy flavor is tastier than the soy garlic flavor...

after reading reviews about spot, i was really curious to try the desserts there. we ended up picking 3 of the plated desserts:

melted chocolate cake. definitely for the chocoholic...it was a bit on the too sweet side.

poached persimmon. best dessert of the 3.

yuzu ice cream sandwich. pretty good.

and with the opening promotion of 2 for 1 cookies this weekend, cookies-to-go (in duplicates:)

2 green tea cookies.

2 peanut butter cookies.

these peanut butter cookies are so good! crunchy, yet chewy...and with sprinkles of sea salt on the top, a nice touch. you can't tell from the photo...but these cookies are nearly an inch thick.

and because obao isn't open on sundays O_o, sunday brunch at markt. (^_^)
